invizibility Posted August 12, 2012 Share Posted August 12, 2012 Hi all, I've searched this forum and tried various ways to get wake up to work for me on ML. I have the following rig: Gigabyte P55-USB3 Rev1.0 F9 BIOS MSI GTS 250 I have the following kexts installed AppleRTC.kext - Patched NullCPUPowerManagement.kext JMicron36xATA.kext ALC8xxHDA.kext FakeSMC.kext The issue is that whenever I put the machine to sleep, all my USB devices power down (or are unavailable) but the system keeps running. There is no way for me to wake it up from this state except for a power recycle. This same setup worked for me beautifully on Lion in which the system powered down and pressing any key on the keyboard brought it back. Any help or links would be highly appreciated. Thanks. Dannydeman Posted August 12, 2012 Share Posted August 12, 2012 I have the p55-usb3 without nullcpupowermanagement, and with a DSDT. Sleep doesn't work, I have the same problem. Will try it with the file you provided, hopefully it'll work (maybe this fixes my Speedstep issues also..) EDIT: Doesn't seem to work for me. Don't notice any changes in the behavior with the new AppleRTC. The only Kext I use is the FameSMC.kext. I use the original TonyOSX DSDT.aml (rev2.0 F9) and did a AppleHDA rollback for the sound. System is almost vanilla. However, sleep just doesn't work, also Speedstep isn't working. This is very strange, because I'm sure I did everything by the book. ApplePowerManagement.kext is unmodified. Dannydeman Posted August 14, 2012 Share Posted August 14, 2012 Made some progress, installed the newest FakeSMC with the plugins and HWmonitor. It shows that my CPU is actually using speedstep, which is good news! Now back to sleep; I made no progress at all. I don't use any special Kext. I did however do the USB rollback before I used a DSDT, never bothered to restore the original USB kext because my system works great. Can this be the reason? Frank Nitty Posted November 24, 2012 Share Posted November 24, 2012 Using the patched AppleRTC.kext enables my hack to wake from auto-sleep using my keyboard unlike before when it would auto-sleep and I eventually would have to reboot the system by holding down the power button to access my hack.
