Kernel panic

Right

I have just installed mountain lion with no troubles. I used ###### on my memory stick to install. After install complete I booted from the OS x drive, But when the grey apple screen comes up I get a message saying "you need to restart your computer. Hold down the power button until it turns off. Then press the power button."

Before the grey Apple logo screen I get this:

"ERROR: dcbtable_version is 0x10"

"ERROR: nVidia ROM Patching Failed!"

Thanks for any help :-)

From your picture you have a video problem (not unusual). the next step in the progression of install from where you are is the Mac desktop, but your video card is not playing nice. Do some research on methods of how to get whatever video your machine possesses to work.

It is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to troubleshoot in the blind. A listing of your hardware would be extremely helpful for those wanting to help you.

remove all the Graphics kexts NVidia , use these code, boot whit -s

Move all kexts NVDA : boot whit -s

mount -uw /

mkdir /KextOff/

cd /

cd /System/Library/Extensions

mv GeForce* /KextOff

mv NVDA*kext /KextOff

sudo rm -rf /System/Library/Caches/*

cd /

Hi...

yes...don't use ######, we don't know what is nested.......reinstall using retail osx,and chameleon..with USB or DVD method...use GUID partition, do not use OSXinstalls, remove all others HDs ,

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=277015&st=0

do not install nothing, about video,ethernet,audio....let in on "bone", at first...

and look for solutions to your video card...

Cheers for the reply mate, that worked!

Now I have another problem (me being a noob)... I tried to install some kexts with the ###### program... then I had the restart with power button panic again.. now I can't boot into it without getting that screen! Any way to get rid of these and go back? Don't really want to reinstall it all again!
