Try booting in single user more, -s, and when it gets to root type,

mount -uw /

cd System/Library/Extensions

mkdir IntelBack

mv AppleIntelHD* IntelBack/

mv AppleIntelSNB* IntelBack/

exit




And see if that fixes your black screen issue. And yes those are stars. Post back with results.

Yea, I've pretty much given up on trying to get all my components working right. I have a slew of computer parts at my storage and I'm working on building a pretty big machine. lol
