ibr4him
Hi, I'm using drivers from MB (tony's) for ALC889 and they work okay (the notification sounds are delayed by a second or so), but its spamming my console with: kernel[0]: Sound assertion in AppleHDAController at line 8088 ...couple of times every minute! Are there better drivers available or a way to fix it? Ofcourse, I've searched before posting but couldn't find a solution. Thanks!

westwaerts
just for ACTUALITY depends on machine profile ( macbookproX,x , imacXX,x) switches off the amplifier when silent. so at soundstart it asks quicker than the response for the amplifier and get the assertions. with macpro3,1 this can be solved, but its just cosmetic and log-filling.
