Working perfectly for my Mountain Lion. Hope this helps someone. EDIT: Sorry, it seems to be giving CMOS reset after restarting the system. Should have tested more. My apologies. snoozepops Posted July 25, 2012 Author Share Posted July 25, 2012 Hello. Yes I tried that and the CMOS was still reset when i rebooted. If I did not use sleep and rebooted, the system started normally. I am also using ElliottForceLegacyRTC.kext and EvOreboot.kext. I have a DSDT.aml file in my extras folder, but I have not attempted any editing of it to enable sleep. Do I need to? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Replaced the AppleRTC.kext in S/L/E with the kext from Snow Leopard 10.6.3. Removed ElliottForceLegacyRTC.kext and EvOreboot.kext. No CMOS resets anymore and sleep is working properly. I tested this on my system several times with no problems so far (over several hours). Did not touch my DSDT.aml. Hope this helps. I learned how to from this post: h**p://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=276066&st=0. It was important to make sure the kext was in the Extra/Extensions folder before I ran the script in the OP. After it was patched, I installed it with Kext Utility to S/L/E and everything is fine now. Thank you for your advice. If you used a Perl script to patch it, the second half of the script is the location of the kext and the file inside it that will be patched, so you can change it from /Extra/Extensions/AppleRTC.kext/contents/.........to /System/Library/Extensions/AppleRTC.kext/contents/......or the desktop or wherever you want to patch it at.
