Help DSDT Vaio VPCEB3M1E - 10.7.4

Hello people,

 

I am really happy to say that thanks to the hackint0sh community I have got most of the hardware working on my Sony Vaio VPCEB3M1E .

 

Unfortunately though there's still some pieces of the puzzle that arent working, which are sleep, brightness control, and probably power management isn't working properly either, since I have a major battery drain with OSX.

 

I have been told I need a DSDT patch, but unfortunately I wasn't been able to find a DSDT patch for a motherboard with the same specs or close to mine.

 

Needless to say that I have no idea where to begin with DSDT editing since I have never really messed with it, though I'd like to understand at least the basic.

I am back once again with a small progress. I have been helped out kinda a lot to sort out a bit my DSDT.aml file in the #osx86 chatroom from @ashar @nawacom and @artur_pt. Now the notebook actually goes to sleep and recovers from sleep, the problem is that anytime it recovers from sleep the display will remain off, and the only way to restart it is either vnc into it or holding down the power bottom.

 

Now, I have been told that this is due to forced EDID, and I think there are no more chances to get sleep to work properly at this point.

 

I realized that I can still leave with it, one thing I would really love to have, as its really necessary, is to let the display turn off and turn back on when in idle. Now the display will goes dark but the backlight of the display will remains on, and this forces me to have to shut down the computer if I have to not use it for longer than 20 mins, and its also a huge battery drain.

 

Anyone can help??
