Hi, first of all I want to thank you for your work, it is very easy to understand and follow. However, I'm having problems installing Mavericks. My system specs are, i7-4820k ivy bridge -e processor, px79pro motherboard, gtx770 graphics, 16GB DDR3 rijaws RAM, and 120GB Samsung SSD. I followed your guide to the letter but when I boot I get a few lines of code and then : Pathread ABORTS when kernel primitives misused  Previously I was using Uni--- to install and I used the boot flags -v GraphicsEnabler=No, thats what I did here. Sooooo any ideas? Thanks in advance, Leumas

This month I decided to change the motherboard and processor for me what I had was a little short on presatciones ..... for what I use ........ so change the motherboard with a gigabyte ga- z87x - UD4H processor and I put a intel i7 4770k ...... from what I 've read around here has this combination of motherboard and processor, called Haswell on Mac ....

I downloaded the app store mavericks since I followed the steps in this guia...http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/280756-guide-the-all-in-one-guide-to-vanilla-os-x-including-chameleon-dsdt-for-beginners-updated-for-mavericks/

I created the pendrive installation I have installed I have copied the mach_kernel , I have even tested with mach_kernet Haswell I installed the chameleon bootloader in on pendrive and the whole process of the added guide AppleIntelE1000e.kext ( for connecting lan plate ) added FakeSMC.kext , added GenericUSBXHCI.kext ,smbios from the extra folder chameleon have it set to imac 14.1, 14.2 Lga 1150 socket which is my. ok……

Reboot system from usb osx installation Mavericks, I erase the hard drive where you will have to go with plus installed osx osx format (journaled )

install os x Mavericks smoothly. I go back to boot from usb installation disk open terminal and run the following commands ....

cp -R / System / Library / Extensions / FakeSMC.kext / Volumes / ¨ name you have put the hard doctor where anger installed ¨ / System / Library / Extensions /

cp -R / System / Library / Extensions / GenericUSBXHCI.kext / Volumes / ¨ name you have put the hard doctor where anger installed ¨ / System / Library / Extensions /

cp -R / System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelE1000e.kext / Volumes / ¨ name you have put the hard doctor where anger installed ¨ / System / Library / Extensions /

reboot

should restart and when restarting from usb installation but this vex select the hard disk where I installed the osx .... should boot but freezes on logo screen legacy of chameleon that is white with the gray apple in the middle and bottom turning points as if loading but does not load or shows me kernel panic errors , no nothing there remains fixed .... I tried with the kernel flags and nothing more of the same and have tried with - v and the only errors that are thrown me cpu 0x3c unknown or unsupported but gets through there and stopped trying to configure bluetooth or something I locolizar desconetcado the if that were the bluetooth , which gives me problems , but I am the same ........

just note that I'm not using GraphicCard ,uso la grafica incorporada en la placa que es intel HD 4600

I posted in a separate forum for this installation guide but I just can't get the bootloader to come up.

I followed all the steps to set it up and when I plug the USB in to install, the screen goes blank. I'm using an HDMI cable to attach my laptop to a monitor because the lcd/lid is detached and the laptop has no internal display.

So after nothing shows up and the monitor is blank, I hit enter and it goes from a blank screen to this error very quickly.

http://s21.postimg.org/e8ila3jfr/image.jpgimage.jpg

My specs HP DM4 2165DX.

2.20 GHz 2nd generation Intel Core i3-2330M Processor

6GB DDR3 SDRAM (2 DIMM)

Intel HD Graphics 3000

SanDisk Ultra Plus 128 GB SATA 6.0

Is the Chameleon bootloader supposed to turn up and guide me through the install? Shall I post the installation log file [can't make sense of it] in my installation USB? Please help. I've tried in July with multiple kinds of installs and can't get anywhere. And can't even get started on this thing.

Yes this seems to be a nullcpupowermanagement problem.Follow steps carefully related to copying nullcpupowermanagement and FakeSMC. I was also having same problem during installation.

Hi.

I tried everything again and the chameleon bootloader doesn't install.

I posted a photo of my problems with #####, which I'm giving up on I think.

I followed everything to the letter in this guide and I don't get a installer or bootloader when I boot from the USB. It's just a blank screen.

Does it have something to do with my SSD? I can load iAtkos and Niresh but both get stuck though I can at least see a bootloader screen to put commands in.

But right now I'm using everything in this guide and following it to the letter. I can't access the BIOS settings to change anything other than boot order as I mentioned.

I've been stuck for a long time on the first step and would really appreciate help.

Thank you.

Hello, it may not matter too much for Snow Leopard (SL) installations.  But, if someone wants to find the Use LCD font smoothing setting on SL, it is located at System Preferences | Personal | Appearance (near the bottom as with General).  Mavericks has the Appearance choice renamed to General.  I am not sure which OS X version this rename began.  Screen layout wise, both are in the same System Preferences location between SL and Mavericks.
