i have win7 and lion on separate drives but my question is i cant put my win7 into sleep mode after i installed new OS of both lion and win7

The operating systems will act independently of one another, if I understand your answer correctly. One should not effect the other.

Yes, the operating system (if installed correctly with the right drivers/kext) should not effect one another due to the seperate drives. The only peice that links the two together is the MBP.

Win does not sleep any more, but was before? Are you starting win from Chameleon which is on another disk? Is it hybrid win 7 sleep? Does it sleep if you boot it directly from bios and not from Chameleon?

so i tested it out. i changed HD Priority from the Lion to win (note: chameleon is installed on the Mac Hard drive) and tried sleep mode and it work!!!. so i guess its chameleon with the problem any way to fix this?

You can try to install boot0md to Mbr of Win disk and then make Win disk as default to boot. Chameleon installer or Chameleon Wizard should be able to do it.
