Grapheeze
Hi guys, sorry for disappearing for a so long time. I've got a question for you all. I recently found an hd in my old stuff box, so i decided to try creating an hackintosh. Checking the hardware compatibility list i found everithing i've got should be fine. It's an i7 920 on a rampage 2 gene, 6 gb ram, wd caviar black 1tb and an old hd (ide interface) on wich i would install osx The only thing i didn't find is my gpu. Amd hd7850. Do you have any idea if will it work? or maybe you can redirect me on some discussion about it? Thanks in advance
BALDY_MAN
SATA drive would be better. i don't think .AMD7850 is supported. you could try amd 5870 or 6870. Nvidia 285GTX or 9500 GT

TH3L4UGH1NGM4N
Isn't supported and probably won't be for a while since Apple is transitioning back to Nvidia for their Macs. Doesn't mean it's not possible in the future but I'm just saying Nvidia has more of a first preference again compared to AMD.

Not to mention Nvidia don't appear to be afraid to release their own drivers for macs lately

k3nny
10.8.3 brought drivers for the HD 7000 series but you will need to use a workaround to get video output after booting: - http://www.insanelym...g-with-full-qe/ - http://www.insanelym...he-sleep-trick/ (#144, #62)
