Not sure if this goes here, but here's my situation:
I have a Mac Pro 4,1 with the stock 4870 in it. I'm looking to upgrade the graphics card to a 5870 or 6870, but I don't want to pay insane Apple prices.
HOWEVER, I read in the past that with a third party graphics card, even with the firmware flashed, you will not get any EFI boot screen on the Mac Pro. Is this still the case?
I definitely need the EFI boot screen because I use rEFIt to manage my triple boot setup (OS X, Windows, Linux).
