I just had a problem starting about a couple hours ago, namely that when I try to view my content I posted in it says there are no topics to display...

We're moving back to sphinx for searching, mostly to allow for shorter queries. Right now we're limited at 4 characters minimum. From what I can see, either the indexes haven't been built or the configuration isn't yet finished.
And yes this is likely the reason for the main topic search not working either.
