tribaldaze
Hello all I recently created a brand new Hackintosh to help me with work that I have to do for my job. Have a Mac at work and do a lot of videos and music production in Final Cut and Logic. Well business is good and I am swamped, so trying to catch up on work from the house since I do not want to pitch a tent and camp out at work. Well since my pockets are not lined with reems of 100 dollar bills to buy a mac at the house, (have three kids they cost ya, lunch money, clothes, sports, science projects, band instruments, etc... lol) I have created my new little beast and I have everything working, but am having issues with two things. Once these are fixed I will have a 100% fully functional hack-in-mac !! And then maybe I can finally get caught up so I can enjoy my kids and life a little bit more. Issue 1: I went to install Final Cut Pro 7 and I received this error "Final Cut Studio Installer requires that your system have a Quartz Extreme capable video card.". Fine, I read up on enabling qe/ci and did those steps. http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2009/12/enable-full-graphics-card-acceleration.html http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=64656&st=0 http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1582?viewlocale=en_US My card does shows that it is enabled when I look into the "com.apple.windowserver.plist" (see attached file below), but when I look at the Graphics section in System Info it doesn't. Any suggestions???? It says that it is on but I think it confused, lol! Issue 2: The last issue, after I got my machine all up and running, I installed my external usb hard drives, and and a mic (M-Audio Producer USB) restarted and now I have the usb hard drives fighting for the start. The only way that I can boot up now is by unplugging the 2 hard drives (usb info listed below). Any one had this issue with external USB hard drives? i have been scouring the web looking for solutions but what I have did seems to be the common thing to do. Tired of doing this --> :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: Want to do this -----> :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: my com.apple.windowserver.plist: my org.chameleon.Boot.plist: (location: /Extra) hex is
