rlf
On the Mac, go to the Apple Menu and select System Preferences. Click on Network. Does it say your Ethernet is connected? Click on your Ethernet. What does the "status" say?

rlf
I don't know what to tell you. The diagnostics showed connection to your ISP but not the internet. Are you sure your DNS are good? Can you ping your DNS? Can you ping apple.com? Can you ping google.com? Can you ping oracle.com? I don't have anything else to give you.

rlf
It could be a driver problem. The driver is for Snow Leopard, but people have reported it worked in Lion. There is no specific Lion driver. I can't give you what I don't have.

rlf
You can try these definite Snow Leopard ones and see if they work any differently: http://iats.googlecode.com/files/build_x64_20100425.zip http://iats.googlecode.com/files/AtherosL1cEthernet_101010_release.zip
everdone
It appears your computer is connected directly to the modem supplied by your ISP. Apparently you have another computer you are using to connect with to make these posts. When you swap the 'other' computer out and connect the Mac, are you power cycling the modem when you swap? Internet modems 'remember' the hardware address of the computer it is connected to. Changing to a different computer (different hardware address) without power cycling the modem does not 'reset' the modem. It may issue an IP to the new computer but will not let it connect through to the internet.

rlf
You said you upgraded from Snow Leopard to Lion to use the ethernet. But there is no reliable Lion driver for your ethernet. Maybe you should consider falling back and using Snow Leopard with one of the three drivers that I have linked to.

everdone
Sorry, did not realize you were dual booting Win7 and Mac! In your boot.plist file in Extra do you have EthernetBuiltIn=Yes? Does your Simbios file closely match your hardware? Download Champlist and create a new Simbios from its data base (get the closest you can to the cpu you have installed). Do you have UseKernelCache=No in your boot.plist? If it is set to Yes change it to No.

Charan Cherry Patnaik
and where to put champlist???
everdone
Champlist is an application one can use to create a boot.plist and simbios files. Download the app and use the simbios function. Clicking 'save' in the app's window will save the file you are creating to the Extra folder on the boot drive, click 'as' and you can choose where to save the file. I usually save the created file to a chosen location, view it, and when I am satisfied is does what I want, copy and paste into Extra. I notice in your boot.plist you have an EFI string. Is that for video? I am more acoustomed to using GraphicsEnabler set to Yes for video. With your current boot.plist, if you use verbose (-v flag) mode at boot, do you see several pages of kexts loading before the machine boots into the Apple desktop?

everdone
The Simbios file will be in the Extra folder. What processor and motherboard are you using? What ethernet chipset is used by your motherboard?
