black screen during lion install using ###### and mac os lion app

i need help with installing lion on hp pavillion dv6 i7 laptop with\

 

i7 2670qm processor

8 gb ram

720gb disc

ati radeon 7470m 1gb graphics with intel 3000 hd on board

 

.

 

i tried using the ###### method and mac os lion app .

i boot verbose and everything loads fine with these commands

-v -f cpus=1 busratio=22 PCIRootUID=1 GraphicsEnabler=no

 

all the kexts load fine but when the install screen should come it suudenly goes black and nothing happens

 

please help

i can understand that it is a graphics card problem but how to resolve it

ati radeon 7470 is not supported but intel hd 3000 inbuilt definitely is

 

so i guess i should be able to get it working

 

 

i got a gem of a laptop

don wanna waste it with windows

 

would be so gr8ful if someone can guide me please thanks

HD 3000 is supported after you install and after you do a few things. It isn't supported in the installer. And we really don't know which graphics card is shutting you down - the 7470 or the 3000. You don't really need any drivers to perform the installation, so I would do two things:

 

1. Try booting: -v -x cpus=1 busratio=22 PCIRootUID=1 GraphicsEnabler=no

 

If that fails,

 

2. Go to the Lion installer in /System/Library/Extensions and remove all AppleIntelHD* files, AppleIntelSNB* files and ATI* files. This means you have no drivers for either of your cards. But each card contains primitive drivers called VESA drivers. They will give you enough graphical support to proceed with the installation.
