dell optiplex 755 dsdt needed

hi i have a dell optiplex 755 sff and i would like to make a dsdt file for it where do i begin on making one for my system

hi cheers for the link i tried the dsdt in the first post but i dont think its working it fixes the bios reset but shutdown and restart dont work, i am not quite sure where to go next

thats good news then. the reset is a RTC issue. change length from 0x08 to 0x02.
get dsdt editor and delete the other dsdt u got from a dif pc.. then reboot. extract dsdt and save .. then right click and compress. then post here in advanced post options.
or upload to mediafire and post link.

also likely your install dvd is not retail.

okie dokie i deleted the other dsdt and downloaded dsdt editor i am unsure where to look for the rtc and changing it so all i have done is extract it and saved it here many thanks for you help so far

i am also using a dmg of lion which i made on to a usb

the dsdt editor comes with patches folder.. rtc is in there. but sometimes these optiplex dont work properly with the patches... patch not applied.

im working on it. i got far with it but ran into a dsdt editor bug or patch bug. will complete soon.

hi i tired the dsdt you posted it fixed the bios issue but reboot doesnt work and also my efi string for my nividia g210 has stopped working is this normal thank you for getting this far with it, any ideas of what i should try next

you are using chameleon2.1 which has RestartFix enabled by default. post your issues in the thread i posted earlier.
by the way u can compare "text" in dsdt.dsl with text wrangler or some text compare tool.. compare their dsdt to yours.
