How to fix SleepEnabler under Snow Leopard 10.6.8

I've installed Snow Leopard 10.6 on an Advent 4213 netbook and upgraded it to 10.6.8. I've installed SleepEnabler for 10.6.8. When I put the netbook to sleep, the screen switches off and the fan stops for about a couple of seconds and then the netbook awakes.

How can I get sleep to work?

Thanks.

The BIOS in this netbook is very basic. It doesn't have a setting for 'sleep mode' nor a setting to disable/enable "USB Legacy Support".

Any other suggestions?

p.s.

On another laptop installing voodoops2 kext fixed the sleep issue but that didn't work with the advent.
