G5 to ATX case tray question

Hi everyone, I am in the process of modding a G5 case to accommodate a full atx motherboard. I have done some research and learned that most people prefer either Mountain Mods or Lian Li motherboard tray. My question is could I purchase a brand new case from eBay like the one below, and cutout it's tray and fit that inside the G5 instead? The price is cheaper than Mountain Mods and about the same as Lian Li, $48 shipped, but also comes with 3 fans. I feel Since this is my first build I would like to test all the components first case before attempting to mod the G5. My primary use will be for 3D modeling and video editing.

Here are the parts I have ordered:

Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Rev 1.0

Intel i7 950

Sapphire ATI Radeon HD6850

Kingston HyperX blu 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3

Cool Master eXtreme Power Plus 500W 20+4-pin ATX Power

Any help would be great

Thanks for the reply, luckily I found my old ATX case at my office to test the hardware and maybe it will be the right size for the mod. If not I will go with the mountain mods tray. I will post updates on the progress.

Update: I received all the hardware but when I go to test it, it does not get to POST and keeps rebooting after every few seconds. It seems many people with the x58a-ud3r face similar problems. I decided to return the item to the seller and by some luck he refunded me all the money and let me keep the board. I will do an RMA and hopefully it comes back fixed. Meanwhile, I am on the look out for a different board, preferrably not Gigabyte. What do you guys recommend? Asus? It has to be 1366 socket since I still have my I7 950.

Thanks for the replies, I have decided on the mountain mods, it looks lot sleeker than the lian li. I have also ordered an asus p6t (non-deluxe/se) mobo hopefully this one will work. Once all the components are confirmed working, I will begin modifying the case.
