Is it possible if i install a Genius Apple Airport extreme card for  a hackintosh ? I guess it will be ok, just wonder does anyone try it ?
Because i see alot of topic about buy a Atheros wifi card then patch Kext file or buy a Broadcom and rebrand them. It's very reasonable if your laptop have buit in one of them but  buy it will cost you about 10 to 15usd while the old genius Apple airport card just take you just 20-25usd and you dont need to care about Patching , Rebranding.. and because you do hackintosh so it save few hundred of money so why dont pay more 10usd for more easier.

i believe u mean genuine apple airport.
i use non genuine AR5B91 works out of box in 10.6.3 or higher

or bcm94321mc works in 10.5 or higher

I use a rebranded broadcom on my desktop and laptop hackintoshes. All good. Worked oob on both.
