I recently upgraded my rig (again) in hopes of regaining my Hackintosh. I thought this was going to be a piece of cake... I was wrong. I've tried iAtkos s3, Empire EFI + Retail, ##### + Retail, Chameleon USB with no added kexts, Chameleon with an Extra folder from someone with this board working. And all I've gotten is kernel panics and when I don't get them I get "still waiting for root device" I'm not exactly sure where to go from here, is there a guide out there I haven't came across yet? Or am I doing something wrong? If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. I do have a working Hackintosh laptop and a DMG of 10.6.0 Retail Disk, which I can use to make USB installers, which I prefer.

Here are my specs:

AsRock x58 Extreme (non 3 or 6)

Intel Core i7-940 2.93GHz

8GB G.Skill DDR3 RAM (in dual channel mode)

2x EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti in SLI

500GB Hitachi (with an old installation of 10.6.7 from my first Gigabyte Pentium Dual Core build)

500GB Seagate (with an installation of 64-bit Windows 7)
