triplen Posted February 18, 2012 Share Posted February 18, 2012 Hi, Ive been trying to get SL to boot properly but even with the following options set before install i have to resort to using the disk to boot into OSX (otherwise it just sits on a black screen with a blinking cursor) and it gives me the apple logo screen with the circular load animation and a minute into it a small white box with the crossed circle symbol appears and it just stalls there. If i try to load through the disk using -v busratio=20 cpus=1 (how i got the dvd to work originally) it keeps returning "still waiting for root device". What does this mean?
