Ok, with Chameleon Wizard I can't boot Mac OS anymore : I think I was wrong with a partition because it's booting up another partition I had Windows 8 upon

With the Hazard SL DVD 1.6.6i it was OK to could load Windows 7 which is my primary OS but the partition disk0s5 which has Mac OS is just showing the grey boot Mac page but this time it's Leopard style and not moving anymore, the second moving icon is not present

I can't start my OS again with rd=disk0s5 busratio=18,

Meanwhile, I saw in the DVD in Hardware that ther's my Atheros at 168c:002b

This means I should edit Airport.....kext inside of ......80211family.kext adding this below...?

<string>pci168c,2b</string>

<string>pci168c,2B</string>

<string>pci168c,002b</string>

<string>pci168c,002B</string>

<string>pci168c,2a</string>

<string>pci168c,2A</string>

<string>pci168c,002a</string>

<string>pci168c,002A</string>

Plus, I have lots of .....80211family.kexts I don't know which one works best for my 1.6.6i... but I have almost 6 of them

I load them with Kext Helper v7 : is it a good utility ?

It's always crashing after installing Kexts requiring me to "Force quit"

I had a similar issue that was fixed with DSDT - go through this topic and see what you can find.

You need to use the IO80211Family.kext that came with the version of Snow Leopard you have. What version of Snow Leopard (10.6.x) are you running?

Just found additional IO80211Family.kexts :

http://www.mac-on-pc.fr/index.php?file=Download&op=description&dl_id=172 for every 10.6.x

http://www.osx86.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=1785 Someone in a forum told me to install it because "it works for me under 10.7 and 10.8 so normally it would work for Airport Utility"

----------

Meanwhile, I tried a Kext I had and it behaved differently.

I changed data inside with TextEdit to 168c:2b and KextWizarded it to Extra/Extensions. On tab kext information, I loaded it without rebooting. For the first time, it was loading. It wasn't telling me "

/Extra/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext failed to load - (libkern/kext) dependency resolution failure; check the system/kernel logs for errors or try kextutil(8)

"

But I couldn't find anything in Airport Utility

On reboot, it wasn't loading : no kext could be loaded from Extra/extensions (as I saw in the text file I saved from the tab Loaded)

Then, the folder was renamed to KextStore in extras, because I tried every menu

Now, the system is not loading anymore (double panic) except in safe mode but there's no access to my USB disk to copy nex kexts nor to access Kext Wizard in it..

IO80211Family goes in /System/Library/Extensions, not /Extra/Extensions. Once you fix the system, put your new IO80211Family.kext in /System/Library/Extensions.

I would actually recommend using the 10.6.6 legacy kernel from nawcom.
