Cat5e
Hi I have an old self built computer worked perfectly with Win 7 in the last two years. GA-G31M-ES2L Mobo - 4GB RAM - nvidea 8400GS video - HD 500GB I decided that it is time to make a Dual OS machine. Used the ##### + Retail Snow Leopard method to erase and repartition the HD for OSX 10.6, and installed Snow Leopard. After the install I updated to OSX 10.6.8 Everything works OK but the Video is Fixed on 1024 x 768. I downloaded the latest OSX drivers from nVidea ( a .dmg file) and installed it. No change it does not look different still stuck on one resolution. I used the DiskUtil to partition the HD (into two 250 GB HDs) and installed Win 7 Pro on the second partition. While keep using ##### (from Boot CD-ROM), both OS' work well (beside Snow Leopard stuck at 1024x768). To get rid of the ##### and make things better I installed #####-3.10.1. Took the ##### out reboot, and now I have the Boot choice provided by the ##### installation. Win 7 keep working perfect when chosen. Snow Leopard (when chosen) gets within 15 seconds into Panic Mode and the computer freezes. Looking at the Debug it seems that when it gets to load the Audio it cannot load and freezes. I disabled Azalea (the Mobos realtek Audio capacity) in the BIOS (i.e., No audio), the computer boots OK to Leopard, but No Audio, and still stuck with the Video resolution. If I enable the Audio in the BIOS and use ##### again it is working OK (beside the Video resolution)) as before. Please Help, TIA.
