About a year ago, I successfully installed iPC OSX 10.5.6 to my Dimension 4600 . However, I removed it because of the crappy Intel graphics(integrated). However, I now have installed a Nvidia card(6200) and gotten everything to work(photo booth and DVD). However, after following the instructions to upgrade at http://osx86.co/f5/update-from-ipc-10-5-6-to-10-t4001/ my computer now tells me "Still waiting for root device" I have tried reinstalling as well. Here is the guide I followed for the original setup http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=150341. I booted the setup(on another partition on my HD as for the DVDs were taking too long to boot) and installed the chip set driver AGAIN but no luck. I also tried marking the OSX partition as active but the same error occurred. I am at a complete loss and have no clue what to do. If any one has had luck with doing the following or knows what to do, please help. I only need 10.5.8 for some newer software that I own.

P.S: The HD was also updated since a year ago to a WD 320GB EIDE HD and I don't use any sata drives. The RAM was also upgraded to 3GB.

Specs:

Dimension 4600

Stock CD/DVD Burner

2.4Ghz Pentium 4

Nvidia 6200 256mb

WD 320gb EIDE HD
