Hello. I have a Dell Inspiron E1505 with an ATI X1300 graphics card and a Core 2 Duo 1.83Mhz. I wanted to put Snow Leopard or Lion on it but I can't seem to get it to work. iAtkos S3 V2 doesn't install for some reason and I tried Hazard but that kept freezing up and crashing. I tried iAtkos L2 and everything worked fine except my mouse ran very very slow. Does anyone know any good Snow Leopard distros or a way to fix my mouse on L2?

Thanks in advance.

What exactly is the iATKOS S3 v2 doing or not doing? Just installed it on mine and became a member (not even an hour ago) and worked better than others I've seen.

Only difference (from the limited info) is I have nVidia not ATI, but shouldn't matter. What options are you running on the install? Graphics enabler worked for me.

Using iATKOS, I followed a walkthrough (youtube iATKOS 1505 or Not this old house blog).

In options he suggested are as follows:

  • Under Bootloader: AsereBLN v1.1.9
  • Under Bootloader Options: 32-bit boot, Graphics Enabler, Legacy Logo
  • Under Patches: Extra Directory, fakesmc, Disabler, EVO Reboot
  • Under Drivers/Main Hardware: Sound, Apple PS/2, Laptop Hardware
  • Under Drivers/Network/Wired/Broadcom: BCM440x

I was having problems with my trackpad not working when trying to complete the install. Tried using Voodoo PS/2 instead of apple and not sure if that made a difference.

USE A USB MOUSE IF YOUR TRACKPAD DOESN'T WORK - if you don't and try to proceed, you will get the stupid spinning wheel of fury.

Let me know if you need help.
