Gringo Vermelho
Working power management and "a patched DSDT" does not do anything ASUS Q-Fan fan control.
bertmannaustria
Q-Fan is another thing that is typically specified in the ACPI namespace
Gringo Vermelho
Yes that's exactly what I'm saying, and that's what the OP is dealing with, being a P5B owner. You aren't helping, "a patched DSDT" doesn't mean anything to someone who has no idea what "ACPI namespace" is. If you have any information on how to convert all that Q-fan ATK110 {censored} in ASUS DSDT to work with any of the fakesmc plugins, do share it with the rest of us. bertmannaustria
not working (ignored) Q-Fan settings -> security measure, give it a try, on a working asus board with initialized cpu power management (with Q-Fan working) delete AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext and / or boot without dsdt fixes or boot with nullcpupm and you will get a fan working on full speed
