Dustin Cartwright
Hey there, I'm new here, and to mac in general. I'm a linux user (debian mainly) and i decided to try virtualization. I got Lion installed no problem, and afterwards I had 2 issues. Screen resolution (resolved) and sound. I installed a driver to get the sound working... it was a bittersweet success, as now i have sound, but it is choppy as is video playback. I mainly wanted OSX to fiddle around with garage band, and to evaluate whether i'd like to take the plunge to a fullfledged OSX laptop. is there any way to fix this sound or to even pinpoint the cause of my problem? And going off whether i can successfully run it with sound and no performance issues, is that an indication that i could install a full fledgded hackintosh system rather than virtualization? Sorry if i'm not making much sense, just had wisdom teeth pulled, havent slept in 2 days Thanks

dawntodon
may I ask what kext it is that you used? And did the choppiness of the video always exist or did it occur upon installing the audio kext?
