How to do HDA patching?

Hello all!

As I've been looking over my Dimension 9100 system, there are only a few bugs to work out, one of them being audio.

I'm currently using VoodooHDA for basic audio; however, currently only one of my rear outputs and my front microphone work. I've been reading up on oldnapalm's VoodooHDA common problems thread and THe KiNG's AppleHDA thread over on Project OS X to learn about codec verbs and such. Basically all I want to do is have multiple speaker outputs - which would be better, patch AppleHDA or VoodooHDA?

Right now I've been working with Voodoo, and I've tried adding my outputs/inputs with different default associations/sequences, but in Sys Prefs there are no changes nor in getDump.

My codec is a Sigmatel 9221. I'm very willing to provide more info if needed.

Thank you very much!
