Does apple have mini pci-e wifi cards for notebooks, what I have been seeing on ebay is the full sized cards or small ones that have the hold down screws in a different location.  I just want something that works out of the box on Lion. I took a shot at BCM4313 damn thing would be the 4727 model that is not supported fortunately it was only 10 bucks

I just hope it isnt the same fiasco as the 4313, which is definately compatible unless it has the device id of 4727...how the heck Im I to find out I wont have the same issue with this?

Looks ok but I got a genuine apple one for £11.

make sure u have lan working as EN0  and wifi and EN1 and in boot.plist add EthernetBuiltIn Yes (chameleon wizard can do it for u)
and a valid serial number

the best part of atheros is linux live needs no special driver .. included.
BCM is different in linux needs driver dloaded

yep did that.  I dont know what you mean by valid serial number, I did purchase lion. how do you check, may it doesnt validate it.

hmm all is correct, still not work....side note, if you do the update to 10.7.3 you will lose it, I updated and lost wifi hardware, I got an 10.7.2 io80211family.kext and fixed it
