manmal
Hi, is it possible to have in a laptop with HD3000 graphics card and sandybridge cpu (i7-2630qm) fullhd resolution on internal display (1920x1080)? In windows7,linux (ubuntu) it works fine and fullhd resolution is displayed. Under osx lion 10.7 i see scrambled desktop, monitor preferences say 1920x1080 resolution, but everything is scrambled and nothing is displayed correctly. External HDMI connector works fine at 1920x1080 resolution using external lcdtv/display. The laptop is Asus N53SV-SZ404 , with Intel HD3000 and GEFORCE GT540M (1GB, not supported yet i guess) . Is it possible that hd3000 is not fully implemented yet on laptops expecially for fullhd resolution on internal display ? Anyone having a laptop using Intel HD3000 graphics with fullhd 15.6 display working? Thanks. Mal
manmal
...if there is an EFI string to get it working, may you please let me know it for 1920x1080 internal lcd resolution? If you point on something to read (articles, web pages, links to posts here or eslewhere) i may do it by myself... Thanks! Mal

rwitgitw
Any updates? I have N53SV-EH72 and the internal 1920x1080 screen is not showing anything. However the VGA out is working, so my Asus became a desktop. But I still would like to know how to get the internal LCD to work. Using "ioreg -l", I was able to see the system is recognizing the EDID of the internal LCD, but somehow it's blank. Maybe the backlight is not turned on for some reason, but I can't really tell one way or the other.
Masso912
You need to add this in DSDT under IGPU or Your method of the VGA for dual link screen. http://tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=28851
