After installing Lion on my netbook, I decided to upgrade to a laptop. I first went with the Acer Aspire 5742g-6426 (bad choice). I settled on this laptop (5750-6589) because of its i3 2310m and Intel HD 3000. I am happy I did.

Specs:

Intel Core i3 2310m 2.10 GHz

Intel HD 3000

640GB HDD 5400 RPM

DVD-R/RW

HDMI out

Before I get into the hows, here's the what works/doesn't work:

Works:

- 1366x768 full CE/QI, Graphics recognized as Intel HD 3000 364MB

- Wifi (With the AR9727 checked in iAtkos)

- Trackpad (with scrolling, zooming)

- App Store/FaceTime

- Sound

- Battery

Doesn't Work:

- Sleep (I know there are fixes, I just don't want to tinker with my great install just yet!)

- iCloud

Haven't Tested:

- HDMI out

- USB 3.0

How I did it?:

- Installed iAtkos L2 to a USB flash drive and used MyHack to install Chameleon to USB

- Booted from USB and entered iAtkos with "-v" flag

- Formatted entire HDD with Disk Utility to GUID partition table (GPT)

- Customized iAtkos with all normal options checked and:

- Battery Status

- PS/2

- Wireless > Atheros > AR9287

- SATA/IDE > SATA ACHI

- That's all, don't mess with VGA or Sound

- Let it install, reboot

- DON'T TRY TO BOOT FROM INSTALL YET!

- Go back into the iAtkos L2 USB, let it load and go to Utilities > Terminal

- In the terminal type: "cd /Volumes/*NAMEofHDD*/System/Library/Extensions/" press enter

- Now type: "ls -a | more"

- This will give you a list of the kexts and bundles installed and located in that folder

- Press the down key until you come to two kexts named:

- AppleIntelHDGraphics.kext

- AppleIntelSNB.kext

- Press "Control + C" on your keyboard, this will allow you to type

- Type: "rm -R AppleIntelHDGraphics.kext/" press enter

- Type: "rm -R AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext/" press enter, restart computer

- Now restart and boot into your OS X install with flag "-v"

At this point it should boot, but sound, video/full resolution wont work. But WiFi should! Download the following:

AppleIntelHDGraphics.kext and AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext from a reputable source (or copy from another install/USB)

VoodooHDA.kext: http://www.osx86.net...acer_5750g.html

- Run ##### and check the following options:

- Customization > System Definitions > Macbook Pro > Macbook Pro 8,1

- Install AppleIntelHDGraphics, AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB, and VoodooHDA

- Restart

This should work! This is about a week after I did mine, and I got mine to work after a day of sleeplessness, once I got the right tweaking, I started from scratch to do this, and this should be the steps I followed. I hope it works for you!

I will do my best to answer any questions, and I also have my "aftermarket" kexts that I used, ready to upload if you need them!

Hey man! I installed iATKOS L2 too. My Wi-Fi, Keyboard, TouchPad, and Mic are not working. Ethernet worked after I installed the driver from Realtek's site. Would really appreciate a lot if you could provide me some help! I have an LG-ED500-L.ADM3A2 Notebook. Thanx in advance! :D

Did you check the PS/2 box on your iAtkos L2 install? That should help with keyboard and touchpad. For WiFi, try selecting one of the two Atheros boxes on that install, considering you have an Atheros WiFi. Mic, I have no clue :/
