Hello! I am a newbie here tbh, but I have used many linux based Operating Systems such as Open-suse, Ubuntu, Fedora (the last one i found it to be the best :P ) Still I want to ask whether or not my PC's config is compatible with any OS X. Could anyone give me a hint on that and I will figure the rest out from there!

Here It is:

MB: ASUS P8P67 DELUXE

CPU: Intel Core i7-2600k @ 3.4ghz

RAM: 2x G-Skill F3-12800-CL9-4GBRL Dual Channel (8GB)

GPU: ASUS NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1GB GDDR5 DirectCU

Storage: SSD OCZ Agility3 120GB SATA3 6Gb/s

WD Green Caviar 1TB Sata2

Those parts were my prefference.

Thank you in advance!

PS forgot one thing; I am planning on going SLI with another ASUS NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1GB GDDR5 DirectCU in about a month, does any OS support it?

Only Windows really supports SLI. OS X certainly doesn't, and installing OS X on a SLI hackintosh is going to be more difficult than installing it if you have a single supported graphics card.

Linux is a pain too. It can be enabled, see for instance here: http://www.techpower...ead.php?t=52953

But for the short time I had a SLI configuration (2 GeForce 8800 GT) most Linux CDs or DVDs wouldn't even boot.

OTOH some graphics cards are so powerful that, unless you are a hardcore gamer you won't need SLI. Mine for instance (see signature) is plenty for my needs, and yet it has zero compatibility issues with any OS.

At the end of the day it is up to you. Do you want ultimate gaming or do you want compatibility?
