themainman
This is what my problem I installed iDeneb 10.5.5 on my Dell Dimension 4600 absolutely perfectly. The problem is I used the update service on OS X to update my applications like iTunes. This wasn't an operating system update. So, after the update was finished I restarted my computer and booted it up, only to find it hanging with a circle with a line through it over the apple logo. So, I booted it with -s and found that it hangs at Cant determine immediate dependencies for extension org.tgwbd.driver.ACPIPs2nub Cant determine dependencies for org.tgwbd.driver.ACPIPs2nub Couldn't alloc class "AppleACPIPS2Nub" Still waiting for root Is this the end of my OSX86, or is there anyone that can help. Thank you very much!
AbenaLeaf
"Still waiting for root device." usually indicates an issue with the Hard Drive controller drivers. If your PC has Sata, you could try swapping the operation mode in the BIOS. You could also try and copy LegacyAppleIntelPIIXATA.kext to a flash drive, boot the install disk, and copy it to the S/L/E folder using terminal from the "Utilities" menu. Just make sure to plug the flash drive in BEFORE booting the install disk.
