directmusic94
Hello, I've been using Mac for a few years now and I use Logic 9 on a daily basis. I was having some problems with my MacBook Pro so I decided to build a PC and switch music software, but while doing some research I realized I may just be able to do a stable Hackintosh on my build. I have only ever done 1 other Hackintosh on my old PC laptop, but I completely forget what distribution I used for that. I have a legal copy of Snow Leopard and I would like to use that since I am not too happy with Lion, but I am not really sure what bootloader to use or whatever. Here are the specs: ASUS P8P67 (REV 3.1) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard Intel Core i7-2600 Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 2000 BX80623I72600 G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL ASUS EAH5450 SILENT/DI/512MD3(LP) Radeon HD 5450 512MB 64-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready Low Profile Ready Video Card What boot loader should I use? Are there any tutorials I should follow? What kexts should I use? Thanks, Joe
3.14r2
Try to find a guide that is closest to the motherboard or chipset you have. Its the best option you have. As to bootloader, there are not that many options - either Chameleon (or it's versions) or PC EFI.
xx66stangxx
Search for Andy P8P67 install guide. There is a thread for both snow leopard and lion.
