Hi All, long time since I've been trolling around here...

But anyways, I got lion 10.7.2 up and running on my i7 920 GA EX58-UD5 Mobo, with a Sapphire ATI 4890. However, its one of the cards that has HDMI, Display port and DVI. Now when I unplug the DVI port, display goes to the HDMI connected (or the display port), but if the DVI is connected no display is showing, yet the display properties shows I have 2 connected monitors...

I've tried doing some digging, but I can't seem to find any thread with a clear and concise guide to get dual monitor set up on the the 4890.

I did find this thread: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...665&hl=4890

With links to a boot file and ATIFrame buffer next, but I am having trouble finding a tutorial showing how to install the boot file and ATIFramebuffer.

(With regards to the boot file, do I just drag and drop it into the root folder, or do I need to use sudo cp to copy it across and then repair permissions?)

Could anyone assist me?

(At the moment Im using the Netkas QE/CI exotic patch, and it is working nicely. Albeit for one monitor.

If you need any details let me know and I'll do my best to obtain them.

Thanks in advance.

Casper.

After a bit of experimenting, I realised something weird...

Now when the DVI port is connected to my main monitor and hdmi port connected to hdmi -> dvi cable to my second monitor, it actually detects the second monitor.

Now heres where it gets strange.

When I disconnect the dvi cable from the pc, the hdmi connected monitor comes up!

Truly a stance thing.

Just for reference my card is a Sapphire 4890, HDMI, display port, DVI connectors.

Anyone got any ideas??
