Kernel panic after 10.6.8 v1.1 update

I recently updated my SL install to the newest version, and of course I got a kernel panic:

"Version mis-match between kernel (23) and CPU PM (21)" and

"sk.triaxis.kext.SleepEnabler"

I have had problems with the SleepEnabler before, so I figured out I just had to delete it in any way, or restore my system from my Time Machine-backup (which is located on the same internal hard drive as my OSX install, just another partition). The problem is that i cannot boot with either of the -x, -v, -s or pmVersion=0 flags.

My second thought was to boot the SL install DVD (which I used to install SL in the first place) with #####, and restore my system from the Disk Utility. But ##### doesn't "find" the install DVD, I only get the EBIOS read errors. This is strange, because it worked the time I sat up my system.

I even tried installing MacDrive 9, but it claimed no HFS+ disks were connected.

Any ideas what to try next?

I've got a Asus P5E with Q6600, if that is of any help.
