When i removed the DSDT from extra the display came back on both the screens but then i dont have brightness control and it shows a X on the battery notification. Dreamcatcher are u using the DSDT.aml or not?

 

plus there is no wifi as well

 

i'm using the dsdt from the first page of the topic from the No_Nvidia download, i don't have brightness control and got intel wifi so i'm not sure about the wifi

don't use EnableC2State , EnableC3State , EnableC4State , nor ForceHPET also i use original not patched kernel which placed on my root

@ thats because i use A11 bios mod along with SSDT-4 & DSDT where they do the job

I really need help. I replaced my motherboard for external display, before i had nvidia gt525m and now i have intel 3000 only. I m having a weird problem, when i use DSDT. aml and SMbios from No_NVidia package this is what i get:

 

- No display on laptop screen but only on HDMI screen is detected and working fine.

-Battery is not available.

-Wifi and bluetooth works fine.

 

When i remove the DSDT.aml from extra this is what happens

 

- Laptop LCD and HDMi both works with QE/Ci.

-Wifi and bluetooth doesn't work.

-The battery shows remaining percent and working fine.

-No brightness setting for laptop LCD.

 

I'm using Bios A11 and patched it with the Bios posted by Mohammad Khairy.

@you see its main graphics engine (IGPU) problem which related to many errors regarding running processes into rams ......

 

@your rams may be related to this problem try different arrays of rams (4gb only like me or tow 4gb ) tow 4gb solved this problem with others!

 

@ If still no clue then..................

 

@When your pc starts up press and hold f12 ....boot selection menu will appear select dell diagonistic mode ... let it diagonises your system...

 

if there are any issues regarding rams then try replacing ..if its OK ..then ......

 

@upload your edid export from switchresx !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to compare with mine !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! remember that 72.25 mHz did not solve your

 

problem completely from the first site !!!???? you could not use quick time replaced it with vlc !!!?? .....................................................

 

@So there is a great evidence that my custom res is not as good for you to overcome graphics MAIN RING STALL...........................

 

@So go to switchresx preferences then choose (export EDID ) button then save that and upload it here if you want any help .you

@First there is something strange ! when you removed DSDT from your extra folder that does not mean your boot loader will misses it up !!

 

in fact your boot loader will go to extra folder if it did not find the DSDT.aml then it will search your entire HDD for DSDT .aml !!!!! so when you

 

remove your DSDT completely from your HDD you would ( ged kernel panic ) KP !! my system canot run without DSDT ...

 

@you already have connector problem in order to get everything work you should patch your Appleintelsnbcgraphicsfb.kext for lvds ,vga and

 

hdmi to work together dREamCatCHeR had uploaded his patched Appleintelsnbcgraphicsfb.kext for you you can try using it ..

 

go to S/L/E put it there replace the original there but first make backup for your original one ....

 

after replacement do repair perm via disk utility then restart

 

if you got your system lvds + hdmi + DSDT working together then all your devices will work ( wifi eth bluetooth battary ....etc ) ..

 

UPDATE.....

 

If no clue then you need to go to windows then youtube type "" extracting acpi tables aida64 "" you will find video guide ..

 

extract your dsdt then rename it to DSDT.aml then mohamed khairy can patch and compile it for you if you asked him

 

thats because your motherboard is new and may has something different

yes, its without Nvidia, only intel 3000. I tried removing dsdt and booted with -x -f GraphicsEnabler=No but it gets shut down itself. I changed the motherboard for OS X :(

 

You should at first change to SmBios from MacBookPro 8,2 and install nullcpupowermanagment.kext to S/L/E. Then you should get your LVDS and Hdmi (without audio) working.

 

For getting Hdmi-Audio (with correct DSDT.aml) working and also SMBios from MacBooKPro 8,1 (if you have no Core i7) it is mostly necessary to patch AppleIntelSNBgraphicsFB.kext. Normaly there are four ports. I have them reduced to 3 to get LVDS, Hdmi-audio and Vga working. If you have no Vga port you can reduce to two ports.

 

The table for three ports looks after change like this:

 

0000000: 0102 0300 1007 0000 1007 0000 ............ Three ports

000000c: 0503 0000 0200 0000 3000 0000 ........0... LVDS

0000018: 0205 0000 0008 0000 0600 0000 ............ HDMI with audio

0000024: 0602 0000 1000 0000 0900 0000 ............ VGA

0000030: 0000 0000 0004 0000 0900 0000 ............ set to zero.

 

I have added the script from Modgilani with a short howto and the patched kext from 10 8.2. If you dont use til now Chameleon, you should forther on do it. (No Graphicsenabler). I have 8 gb of ram and the 512 mb for graphics do not disturb. I never had any issues with the graphics. The ports should be similar on your laptop.

Now ... things got more clear my lcd vendorID auo productID 22ec the datasheets of my lcd has EDID with 70.00 mhz pixel clock while my lcd only has 65.1 mhz pixel clock

 

,since this is a problem with many customers, thats not damage EDID , its defective lcd !! no software on the entire web can write the correct EDID to my lcd EEPROM !!!

 

10 days of searching and trying ,without success ,it seems that hd3000 graphics driver does not support real time ddc ( i2c ) communications with any of vga ,lvds nor hdmi at all !!

 

so that i cant reprogram my EDID EEPROM with the software approach ......

 

trying hardware via disassembling my laptop and interfacing my LVDS cable to reprogram the correct EDID directly to LCD EEPROM .......

I finally got my HDMI port working with the new motherboard :) Everything is same except Nvidia, its just intel Hd 3000, The guy who sold me this motherboard told me that the laptops which has graphic card in it dies sooner. So i bought it and i wont be using Nvidia anyway.

I think Mohamed Khairy did not have updated the DSDt.aml for no_nvidia. Right now m using kexts to make things work and almost everything is working but i wanna use DSDT.aml it control the states of cpu and many other things. I told Mohamed Khairy about my issue but i think he is busy.

Can we do UEFI bios from our bios? like when Florin9.. released the bios mod with uefi unlocked. what does that mean? we still have the classic bios.

You already can boot EFI via Clover boot loader but no UEFI boot , your bios is locked by dell !

 

Hey people please answer this question. Please forget about VGa for a while. I have read here uefi.org that we can built our own uefi bios. I think we are able to modify our bios to uefi. If we get the uefi on our computers we with os x support we would improve the boot speed x3. My question is

With this mod we can change the name of our graphics card. Can this make our gt525m work with os x?

No problem with switchresx and you will not stick with it for long time !! beside the hardware approach ( which is not for you ) , i will do my best in order to get Power
