@Nanotech

Are you using the latest chameleon bootloader that Mohamed khairy has posted just now?

Lucky you! I am giving up now with VGA. Widnows look stupid now can't use it not, I guess i can't use my external monitor.

@Mohamed Khairy

There is a little mistake in your new guide

copy all kexts onExtensionsfolder on Pre Install folder to System/Library/Extensions .

you have your Extensions folder in post install

:)

and your new PS2controller kext is making my touchpad crazy.

Thanks for all your efforts!

If someone can do remote desktop sharing and see what is the problem with my VGA that would be great!

here is my dual screen using fly kext patching of clover

vgaq.png

the benfit of that you dont need to patch it manually after every update

your kext will be patched on kernelcache with every time you load osx with clover

----

@ nanotech

does the patch of intel 3000 make the vga display detected when you connect it working osx

or you must boot with the vga connected / using sleep wakeup ?

also can you provide your orginal display edid and the patched one by resolution x ?

@mohsin000

thanks for note

about touchpad if you feel that it is crazy use the stable one you used before

Hi mohsin000

@ And yes using the

latest chameleon bootloader that

Mohamed Khairy

has posted .

@does your windows 7 or 8 detects your VGA monitor ?? if it does not ,, then your VGA PORT MAY PE DAMAGE LIKE YOUR HDMI PORT!!!! ,,hop it works with win 7 or win 8?

@If it works with win 7 or win 8 ,then 100% you can get it work mountain lion . your laptop like mine!!!

@ regarding touchpad go to "

system preferences and edit touchpad setting "

Mohamed Khairy said .

@INSTALL switchresx it helps so much autodectecting with hot plugging my VGA port monitor Even i started without connecting it

Thanks Mohamed Khairy :)

"the benfit of that you dont need to patch it manually after every update

I know its easy to do that with clover , you r right , but i had no luck with clover !!

"@ nanotech

No the patch

itself does not but Switchresx does ! No more need to reboot with VGA connected ! just hot plug ! then select detect display from Switchresx statu icon... thats all !

and yes switchresx

flawlessly keeps the detected

VGA connected after using sleep and wakeup ! exactly as you are on windows.

I will get the edid then upload here

I have checked my VGA port on Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04. What i m thinking that it could be my lcd screen, it's Fujitsu SL27t1 (27 inches), when i connect it to windows it shows Generic PNP monitor. It's not detecting the name of the vendor(EDID). Do you think this could be the problem?

@Mohmed Khairy

I have installed the older kext of PScontroller and it's working fine!

Clover is also not as fast as Chameleon boot loader and Config.plist file that u have posted shows MacBook Pro 8.1 profile but the serial number is showin in ASCII form, seems corrupt to me and the UUID is different than it should be!

tomorrow will make post about clover

respa.png

this is my built in screen default resolution !!!!!

i made a custom resolution for cvt but say not installed ?

what is the problem ?

Very good mohsin000 ......

Now under windows plug in your screen then use the keys in your lcd monitor ""that used to adjust screen position, colors, contrast,......etc ""

search for any settings related to

something like that " pixel clock ,color phase ,factory rest , enable ddc ,disable ddc, ........etc ""

IF you found " DDC " you must enable it or at least choose factory rest ,also try tweaking this settings

Atched very good EDID viewer for win 7 use it and choose your lcd monitor and see what your windows see in your screen ,save your EDID

Then upload it here !

""this is my built in screen default resolution !!!!!""

everything is clear now !!!!!!!!! your EEPROM contains the correct EDID data !!!!!!

and my custom resolution is just your

default resolution !!!!!!!!!!!!! my EEPROM has no important EDID data regarding default resolution !!!

""""i made a custom resolution for cvt but say not installed ?

what is the problem """

CHOOSE "export EDID" button then save EDID and see all the supported resolutions !! and your screen limts

IN order to get a custom res works check ""use

simplified settings"" then check CVT-RB then check CVT altranatly REAPEAT THAT MANY TIMES you will notice that the pixel clock will

change to many values each of which is accepted

@nanotech

I tried running that EDID program on windows. It's not detecting my external monitor. However, my internal laptop screen is detected. I guess my external screen's EDID is corrupt.

I'm going to a skin doctor. I be back soon. MEssage me your status!
