DocNougat Posted November 4, 2011 Share Posted November 4, 2011 So I just got Lion to what i thought was a stable point on my hp dv9700. It's been running for several hours a day since tuesday with no real issues. Today I noticed a steep drop in performance so i opened up activity monitor to see what was killing my resources and it showed coreaudiod taking up 177% of cpu usage. I force quit the process and it came right back at 117%. So I went into the sbin folder and moved the coreaudiod to the desktop and deleted it from sbin.
