Fake VMware drive

I've been attempting to get this running through VMWare, following the tutorial found in the wiki. Unfortunately I keep getting stuck at the step involving adding a fake .vmdk file. I'm currently using this:

 # Disk DescriptorFile
version=1
CID=76805586
parentCID=ffffffff
createType="monolithicFlat"

# Extent description
RW 12585040 FLAT "tiger-x86.img" 0

# The Disk Data Base
#DDB

ddb.adapterType = "ide"
ddb.geometry.sectors = "63"
ddb.geometry.heads = "16"
ddb.geometry.cylinders = "9825"
ddb.virtualHWVersion = "4"
ddb.toolsVersion = "0"

I keep getting an error from VMware about it being too old of a version. I've double checked on the math from the byte size, so I'm not sure what might be wrong.

Any Ideas?

thanks.
