macinsane
No matter what I do Lion (10.7.1/10.7.2) isn't using the kernel cache. Always get: "S/L/E is more recent than kernel cache" or "KextIdentifiers is out of date" etc. I have "UseKernelCache"="Yes" in org.chameleon.Boot.plist (using r1618), I tried to delete the cache files manually or let KextWizard create a new one, repaired permissions and so on. Nothing helps. Strange thing is: when I make a backup with ccc and boot from there Lion is using the kextcache once on the first boot. After that same problem. Can anybody help me? SOLVED After weeks of thinking and searching, I finally found out, that the long boot time has nothing to do with Lion itself: The long boot time was caused by Parallels 7. Just uninstalled it and now Lion is using the kernel cache. No problems with Parallels 6.
