Is you have an WLAN Realtec chip, like me with USB WLAN you can get newest drivers always direct from realtec.
If you are unsure which exact WLAN Chipset your module use, look in systemprofiler and google for dev id / vendor id.
Last update was now 2 weeks ago. Even if the older ones for 10.6 , august 2011 also works with lion (no probs for me) mabe better to update to the lion drivers now available.
HINT:
The downloads from the realtec site always fail for me using SAFARI (...nothing ort you dont have permissions to dl).
Use other browser if you get same problem. Opera or Chrome working.

Hi Mitch,
gibt es eigentlich schon eine Art Airport-WLAN Symbol mit Status der WLAN-Stärke (wie beim Airport Finderleisten Symbol) aber für Realek?

No, the realtec Wifi Util only shows the signal strenght( beside config the wifi).
For my knowledge non mac wifi is not "seen" as Apple Airport / Apple Wifi and so not shown in the menü + Apple wifi settings. Maybe some Apple frameworks need to be pathed.
