agc93
Hi all, I have my hackintosh booting up fine (apart from some unrelated graphics difficulties) and theres only one thing not yet fully functional: the Network Card. I have installed my PCI Intel Pro/100 S Network Interface in the computer and booted up the Hackintosh. Ethernet now appears in the Network pane of System Preferences, but it acts like a cable is plugged in, whether it is or not . This means it is constantly self-assigning the invalid 169.254 address. I have tried a couple of things from around the forums to no avail, but I have since cleaned up and I'm looking for any help anyone could give me as to what I should be doing to get this NIC working properly. I have seen a couple of posts regarding editing a file with the VendorID etc, but I'm not sure either how to do this or if it will work. I must admit that I'm a bit of an OSx86 noob, so try and be specific if you can. Thanks heaps and congratulations on such a great community! EDIT: Nevermind, I got my onboard to work with the e1000e kext from these forums. EDIT 2: Woops. Just realised I'm in the wrong forum. Sorry! Mods feel free to delete the topic. --agc93 Intel DG33FB w/ Core 2 Quad Q6600 Installed on a Seagate 7200.10 HDD booting with Chameleon running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 on 2GB DDR2 NVIDIA GeForce 210 Intel Pro/100 S
