Before I start I could like to thank insanelymac, tonymacx86, verdant and the person who made the video how to upgrade snow leopard to lion.

My PC specs

MOBO - Asus Maximus II Formula

RAM - 3GB

HDD - 500 SATA HDD

DVD/CD - SATA DVD/CD (this is must, for me IDE didnt work)

CPU - Intel (Cant remember the exact model)

GPU = Nvidia 8800 GTS

Required for this installation

Boot CD - ##### found here http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewforum.php?f=125

MAC OS X Retail version 10.6.3

How to :

1.0 BACKUP - Before you start I would suggest you backup all your data as we will be doing a FRESH install and we will be formatting the entire HDD not just a partition as we need to HDD to be in GUID format.

2.0 BIOS Setup - need to enable AHCI pleas see the Asus Maximus II Formula manual how to enable this very simple

Diable floppy from BIOS as well and set BIOS to boot from DVD/CD rom.

3.0 Burn ##### on a CD or CDRW using any burning software I used imgburn http://www.imgburn.com/

4.0 Place ##### in your DVD/CD rom and boot from it

5.0 Once you see the ##### screen, swap ##### CD with MAC OS X Retail version 10.6.3 DVD and boot using following command

-v cpus=1 maxmem=2048 busratio=

This will boot into MAC OS X

6.0 Format the HDD using disk utility as GUID. Note you will need to format the entire HDD not just a partition unless you have already formatted the HDD as GUID. THIS WILL DELETE EVERYTHING FROM YOUR DRIVE

7.0 Install MAC OS X as usual.

8.0 Once MAC OS X finish with instillation as 1st boot need to SWAP MAC OS X DVD with ##### as you do not have a bootloader installed.

9.0 Install bootloader and upgrade to 10.6.8 use the following link found here http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2010/04/ibo...ac-os-x-on.html

UPDATE TO 10.6.8 Open Finder and navigate to your Snow Leopard drive. Right-click and delete Mac OS X Install Folder. This folder is an unnecessary remnant of the installation process, and serves no purpose. Download the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Combo Update Download ##### Open #####- don't run it yet, just leave it open. Set up windows as shown.

Mount MacOSXUpdCombo10.6.8.dmg Install MacOSXUpdCombo10.6.8.pkg Upon completion, the installer will ask you to reboot. DO NOT REBOOT. Switch to the already open #####. If it closes, just re-open it.

10.0 Reboot and remove the ##### CD and you should see the bootloader prompt and it will boot straight into your hackintosh
