Dell Dimension 3100 - MacOSX SL 10.6.8

Hi All - so after about a week I was finally successful installing SL retail on this machine and upgrading it to 10.6.8 using the combo update. After scouring around various OSX86 sites, I might be one of a very few to get this to work (not proud haha). [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] did not work on this machine, but [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] was a big part of the success (so thanks TM). Right now I have a Dell Dimension 3100 SL 10.6.8 that will boot from the hard disk. First the details:

 

1. Booted NAWCOM MOD CD

2. Inserted SL retail DVD

3. Erased Hard Drive and Installed OS with minimal options (removed additional languages, printers)

4. Rebooted from hard drive to 10.6.2 SL after install (success #1)

5. On a separate DVD downloaded and burned (from another machine) 10.6.8 combo update, NAWCOM's 10.6.8 Legacy Kernel, and [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url]. Inserted DVD and copied all three to the 3100 OSX hard drive.

6. Opened [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] (left it sitting open on the desktop), then installed 10.6.8 combo update (did not reboot).

7. Finished running [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] (only using it to repair permissions).

8. Installed NAWCOM 10.6.8 Legacy Kernel

9. Reboot success #2! from hard drive

 

Still to get working - full video support, networking support, audio, sleep. (had all of these working at one time with a patched 10.5.2). USB, shutdown, restart, drives, mouse all work.

 

In the process - I tried using MyHack 1.1.4 (I think). It broke the boot from hard drive, but the networking kext worked and ethernet was working. Only problem is that there is no way to install just that kext w/o installing the boot loader. So - what I need help with:

 

Networking - Intel Pro/100 VE adapter

Video - Intel® 910GL Express Chipset (boo) but that's what is has.

Audio - Sigmatel STAC 920

 

Any suggestions / recommendations would be appreciated!
