So I decided to finally go Lion - by way of MyHack on a USB stick, installing on a clean formated harddrive. :)

But when I booted from the USB, as well as when I now boot from the harddrive after installation, Chameleon seems to load fine but then the machine gets stuck with a gray bar on the top of the screen.

When I now boot my 10.7.0 partition:

However, safe mode (-x) loads fine - that's how I did the installation - but without QE/CI (I'm guessing because of safe mode).

I have tried:

- Looking at the logs, trying to find out what happens before it gets stuck, but it seems like the logs are not saved?? I have only found logs from the successful safe mode login attempts.

- I set GraphicsEnabler to Yes, and I get a high res image on both screens (in safe mode). Graphics adapter used to be VESA, now shows as GTX 275.

I have not touched any DSDT stuff yet.

Asus P5K Deluxe

Geforce GTX275

Core 2 Quad Q6600 @3GHz (showing as Xeon...)

8 GB RAM

Anybody know what the gray bar is?

Sounds like this and this guy have had the same symptom, but it seems like a different disease...
