merauder75 Posted October 3, 2011 Share Posted October 3, 2011 Hello, I am trying to install SL on my Toshiba Tecra A9 laptop, but every time I try to install, I get a KP during the actual installation (I can get access to the disk utility, as well as the first part of the install). The KP looks something like this "AppleAHCI@ 0 HBA trouble accessing main memory" After this, there's a bunch of crash info, I will post a pic if necessary. I have tried safe mode, and it just freezes on that screen, busratio=20 didn't do anything, and I have no idea what to do next. I tried moving and clicking to keep it non-idle, and I did get a different KP, saying something about IntelPIIX (the chipset). My BIOS does have AHCI turned on. I have tried this install multiple times with essentially the same result. Specs: CPU: Intel Core 2 T7?? (Centrino Branded) GPU: Intel GMA 965 (Intel X3100) RAM: 1GB HD: 120GB Fujitsu Also, will the retail DVD work with these specs? I don't think the iATKOS installer checks for the same amount of RAM as it does. (Yes, I know this laptop is ancient, and really, OSX souldnt be installed on it, but ill try) Please help!
