I bought this new Satellite and the first thing I did was to try installing osx 10.6.3 (iAtkos)

Unfortunately it didn't work so I tried with another copy, iDeneb osx 10.5.0 and it didn't work either.

I tried it with a Tiger too, no luck.

On both cases I had a cpu-panic of some kind or some other panic. (!?!?)

So later I tried installing the first one on a virtual machine and still nothing.

This is my hardware configuration:

CPU: i3 2310M 2.10GHz (Virtualization enabled)

RAM: 4GB - 2x2GB Samsung, DDR3-1333 667 MHz

HDD: 500GB Hitachi

GPU: nVidia GeForce 315M - 1GB DDR3

WIFI: Atheros AR9002WB-1NG

LAN: Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller RTL8139/810x

AUDIO: Realtek ALC269

MB: Toshiba Satellite C660

Chipset: Intel Sandy Bridge-MB IMC

BIOS: AMI EFI

I checked the hardware database available on this website but I think it's a little outdated.

I need to know if it is a hardware problem and which one. Can anyone help me?

Has anyone installed OSX successfully on a similar notebook?

I will upload a picture of the issue as soon as possible.

EDIT:

This happens on VM: post-889279-1317412108_thumb.png

Trying out Tiger: post-889279-1317414686_thumb.jpg

This is with Leopard (10.5): post-889279-1317414402_thumb.jpg

And finally Snow Leopard (it should be 10.6.3): post-889279-1317414554_thumb.jpg

I don't care if the previous versions don't work, I need 10.6 or even 10.7 but not having a mac makes it difficult for me to prepare 10.7

THANKS!

I was searching the wiki earlier and I found out that the Intel i3 processor, (the one I have in particular) has been used for an installation of a prerelease of a 10.7 Lion. Since to install Lion you need to at least get to the installer, I'm guessing that it is not the problem.

Thanks.
