VoodooHDA causes Kernel Panic (AMD Radeon HD 6870)

Hi,

As long as I don't install VoodooHDA, I don't get any kernel panic on bootup, but as you guessed, no sound. When I add it I get kernel panics that never shows the same thing, some are concerning IOAudioFamily and OSv..., but I don't remember all of them.

 

This occurs since I added AMD Radeon HD 6870 and it does it in Snow Leopard and in Lion.

Try remove AppleHDA.kext then recreate the cache with KextUtility or by hand.
