mathq
Hi, As long as I don't install VoodooHDA, I don't get any kernel panic on bootup, but as you guessed, no sound. When I add it I get kernel panics that never shows the same thing, some are concerning IOAudioFamily and OSv..., but I don't remember all of them. This occurs since I added AMD Radeon HD 6870 and it does it in Snow Leopard and in Lion.

mathq
Try that for HDMI audio: http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=162&t=22030 The kernel panics were fixed with UseKernelCache=yes.
