AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement timed out

Hello,

I have HP Probook 6550b with i5 450M and Intel HD Graphics. I installed SL10.6 and updated it to 10.6.8 (previously I deleted all graphic kexts, because now my SL only works in VESA mode). I installed newest Chameleon on pendrive. Previously I installed it on OSX partition (third, after EFI and partition with Installation DVD) and it wasn't working (reboot after selecting OSX). But let's move to the heart of the problem :)

Now booting process stops at

acpi_smc_platformPlugin::start - waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCpuPowerManagement) timed out

I tried flags:

-v -x PCIRootUID=1 GraphicsEnabler=Yes/No cpus=1 busratio=18 (right for my CPU) arch=i386

and maybe some others, but to no avail. I also removed AppleIntelCpuPowerManagement.kext (I have NullCPU). I set SMBIOS to Macbook Pro 6,1, then to 8,1 but with no result. I read that it's because of graphics, but I can boot my OSX with #####. What is the main difference between these two bootloaders?

(sorry for my English)

You need to find out what's on the ##### CD that makes it work for you.

Mount the RAM disk image (preboot.dmg or initrd.img) on the ##### CD, examine the kernel extensions used, its com.apple.Boot.plist and smbios.plist etc etc.

Try using the kernel extensions and settings from the ##### CD on the Chameleon installation on your hard drive.

Don't just copy everything in blindly, keep in mind that boot CDs like ##### are meant to be used for installation on a wide variety of hardware - there might be settings and kernel extensions on it that will prevent certain things (graphics acceleration, CPU power management) from working right, in order to increase compatibility during the installation process.

So I adjusted my Bios.plist and smbios to iBoots ones. I extracted Extensions.mkext from ##### and when I had copied some kexts to Extra/Extensions folder, all (or almost all) of them are failed to load (during boot).

It looks like this:

sorry for bad quality
