gorto
I get the infamas "Still waiting for root device" when installing. I found out that I need to set my SATA bios settings to emulate or compatibility or something like that, NOT native or RAID or AHCI. However their is no option under SATA like that (or anywhere in BIOS). What I do have is PIO mode and DMA mode. The PIO mode has auto, 0-5?. The DMA mode has auto, SWDManX = SinglewordDMAn, MWDMAnX = MultiWordDMAn and UDManX = UltraDMAn. X = numbers 1-5? The BIOS has both DMA and PIO mode on auto. I have no time to go through all combinations. My motherboard is an Asus M2N-MX SE Plus with the latest BIOS. Just flashed today. I have a SATA DVD drive (samsung lightscribe) and an IDE hard drive. Thank you!!
gorto
This post was actually meant to be put in leopard. Instead of Lion. Sorry. Well I was able to boot into the installation. What I did was used a snow leopard disk.
